Note: Puyallup Online Academy Teacher (Dual Endorsed Preferred) Puyallup Online Academy (POA), a program within Puyallup Digital Learning, is seeking a highly motivated, student-centered educator to join our team. Puyallup Online Academy serves students in grades 6-12 through a flexible online learning model that emphasizes strong relationships, personalized learning, and high academic expectations. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about supporting diverse learners, building connections with students and families, and helping students achieve success in a virtual environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, highly organized, and committed to creating engaging learning experiences that meet the unique needs of online learners.

Position Responsibilities

* Provide high-quality instruction and academic support in assigned content areas.

* Build strong relationships with students and families through consistent communication and outreach.

* Conduct regular student conferences to monitor progress, engagement, and goal attainment.

* Utilize digital learning platforms and instructional technology to support student learning.

* Collaborate with counselors, intervention staff, and administration to support student success.

* Monitor student academic progress and develop intervention plans when needed.

* Participate in professional learning and collaborative team planning.

* Support a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate.

* Dual endorsement preferred.

* English endorsement strongly preferred with an additional endorsement in another content area.

* Experience in online, hybrid, alternative, or personalized learning environments is preferred.

* Strong technology integration skills and comfort working in digital platforms.

* Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

* Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and families.

* Commitment to equity, innovation, and student success.
