As an Armed Security Officer Government Building Control Access in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government office location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $33.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor records, and help protect restricted work areas and sensitive financial documents.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding property, entrances, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services as appropriate.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
