• Salary - $33.00 - $38.00 per hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Laboratory Testing & Technical Support

• Perform laboratory testing activities supporting product development, validation, qualification, quality improvement, and customer requirements.

• Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.

• Assist with diagnosing and resolving test, equipment, and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain data quality.

• Follow established laboratory procedures, test methods, and best practices to ensure accurate and repeatable results.

Testing & Method Execution

• Conduct laboratory tests in accordance with approved test methods, procedures, customer specifications, and engineering requirements.

• Assist with the development, validation, and improvement of laboratory test methods, work instructions, and procedures.

• Collect, analyze, and document test data, identifying observations, trends, and anomalies.

• Support investigations related to product performance issues, test discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions.

Equipment & Laboratory Operations

• Perform equipment setup, calibration, verification, maintenance, and basic qualification activities as required.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and operational condition.

• Assist with installation and commissioning of new laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

• Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance activities are completed and documented in accordance with laboratory requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency, testing capabilities, and equipment utilization.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on laboratory safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.

• Support implementation of new testing technologies, instrumentation, and laboratory processes.

• Provide feedback on laboratory procedures and workflows to improve consistency and effectiveness.

• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to support testing and development objectives.

Documentation & Reporting

• Record, verify, and maintain accurate laboratory data, test records, and supporting documentation.

• Prepare test reports, summaries, and technical documentation in accordance with company standards.

• Communicate test results, observations, and concerns to engineers, quality personnel, and other stakeholders.

• Maintain laboratory records in compliance with quality system requirements.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all laboratory safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies.

• Participate in risk assessments, safe work practices, and corrective action activities.

• Ensure testing activities comply with applicable standards, specifications, and quality requirements.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.

• Demonstrate commitment to environmental, health, safety, and quality expectations.

KEYS TO SUCCESS:

• Attention to detail - following procedures, taking data, understanding testing requirements.
• Experience and knowledge of Data Centers, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and/or electrical machinery and systems.
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Understanding of mechanical laboratory test equipment and measurement tools
• Understanding of manufacturing, laboratory settings, or quality assurance
• Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Good planning, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Ability to analyze and trouble shoot test related equipment and/or procedural issues
• Ability to set up and utilize data acquisition systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma, Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent laboratory experience preferred
• 8 or more years' experience
• Intermediate knowledge of product lines (data centers, hoses, couplings, belts, tensioners, etc.)
• Ability to meet training objectives in Training Matrix applicable to group at this level at manager's discretion

• Experience operating laboratory test equipment and instrumentation.
• Ability to follow test procedures and document results accurately.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems, calibration practices, and quality documentation is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic data analysis tools.
