THE POSITION

The Maintenance Repairman 2 role with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board offers a chance to make a direct impact on stores and facilities across the region. This position allows you to use your technical skills to keep Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations running smoothly. You will help create safe, attractive, and well-functioning spaces that customers and employees rely on every day. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position involves skilled work across multiple trades to maintain, repair, and improve the region's Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations. It supports the agency by ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and attractive. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Facility Construction: Build and install shelving, counters, partitions, platforms, and various fixtures
  • Door and Lock Work: Repair and adjust doors, frames, automatic openers, and install or fix locks
  • Electrical Systems: Install circuits, outlets, lighting fixtures, and wiring in line with electrical standards
  • Plumbing Tasks: Install and repair commodes, spigots, piping, and other plumbing fixtures
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain power tools, hand tools, and maintenance vehicles

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
