Commissioning Turnover Engineer, Cell

Tesla is looking for an experienced engineer to coordinate commissioning and the transition of infrastructure systems to completion between construction, commissioning, and Manufacturing Operations. In this role you will support planning, completions tool setup, execution, tracking, and reporting for commissioning activities in Tesla's advanced factories. The role will work with construction, quality assurance, commissioning, and facilities management to ensure scopes are systemized, checklists are assigned, issues are tracked, and relevant documents are completed. Other key responsibilities include checklist generation, some management of field activities, and developing dashboards to track progress. This role has a travel expectancy of up to 20%. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for understanding interdependencies of complex systems, exceptional organization & communication skills, and the grit to drive completion across multiple teams.

• Lead dependency studies and systemization of facilities and manufacturing systems
• Set up and administrate the completions management system (CXAlloy)
• Guide and monitor the field activities to accomplish commissioning milestones. Steer coordination meetings to optimize system operation and mitigate risk
• Coordinate punchlist and handover walk downs with stakeholders
• Assign and track checklists and punchlist issues
• Manage punchlist closeout and drive checklist completion. Verify documentation is complete per Tesla standards
• Support the development of commissioning checklists and procedures

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience in commissioning, construction, or operations project management
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to understand complex systems and distill them into a clear plan
• Experience with Primavera P6, CXAlloy, Hexagon, or Go Completions is preffered
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under pressure
