Description Position Overview As a safety co-op, at Green Bay Packaging Mill Division, you will gain exposure to occupational safety in a paper mill setting. Responsibilities * Maintaining OSHA compliance of safety programs and procedures* Conducting employee training as required by OSHA* Developing and maintaining proactive safety and security programs* Coordinating the implementation of measures needed to assure compliance with changes in laws and regulations affecting safety* Conducting root cause analysis of injuries and near misses and making recommendations for eliminating potential risks* Overseeing accident investigation programs, developing accident trends and implementing programs/action plans for accident prevention and improving safety performance* Performing other related duties as assigned Qualifications * In pursuit of earning a BS degree in Occupational & Environmental Safety & Health * Candidates must have completed or be working toward completion of their sophomore year and be in good academic standing * Excellent organizational skills * Proficient in Microsoft applications * The ideal candidate will have availability to work a semester in addition to a full time summer internship. Hours during the school semester can be part-time and flexible.
