Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid Prefer candidates in Cupertino but open to strong candidates in Culver City)

As part of our global TV team, you will be responsible for measuring and driving efficacy to increase TV content engagement on TV App - with a particular focus on our expanding live sports portfolio. You will also have a keen eye on the broader full TV App merchandizing efficiency, ensuring that we are constantly optimizing with a focused test and learn approach.

Description

The requisite impact of this role on both client TV as a platform and client TV as a service will be significant. In working cross-functionally with our product, analytics, and editorial teams, you will guide tactics for content presentation on our platform toward effective ends, constantly asking all of us to examine whether a given editorial effort - personalized or hand-curated - was effective in driving viewership, with performance data at the ready to guide what we do next, both in the short and long term.

The breadth of this role is varied, and it will require the ability to advance multiple actions across multiple stakeholders, often against very tight timelines dictated by the speed of our efforts in original content and live sports writ large. A dogged attention to detail, style, the art we serve, and the artistry of those who serve it will be absolutely essential.

Key Areas of Focus

  • Engagement metrics: Tracking and monitoring of key engagement metrics and leading indicators, maintaining dialogue with our business, product, and analytics teams to ensure optimized engagement today and prudent roadmap choices tomorrow
  • KPIs: Responsible for driving improvement in impression to tap and impression to play rates for client TV, including live and on-demand sports content
  • Exec communications: Build Keynotes and additional resources for business reviews
  • Competitive intelligence: Work to stay current on viewership-driving tactics employed by other services in the space, with emphasis on how competitors package and surface live sports
  • Manage cross-functional relationships and a variety of projects and initiatives with minimal direction
  • Present analyses and recommendations to senior executives



Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an analytical role, ideally for a subscription business, with clear evidence and a track record of drawing business insights and recommendations from detailed analysis of content presentation or content management approaches
  • Knowledge and passion for streaming services UI and products, as well as tactics used to drive engagement - including within live sports environments
  • A love for Sports, and genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for the streaming and entertainment industry as a whole
  • Experience working with or analyzing engagement data tied to professional team sports - such as globally beloved club-based sports with passionate, season-long fan communities - is strongly valued
  • Familiarity with the unique engagement rhythms of bat-and-ball sports, where a long regular season, statistical depth, and devoted fandom create distinct content and merchandising opportunities
  • Understanding of premium, event-driven motorsport properties, where race weekends, international broadcast windows, and a rapidly growing global fanbase demand a differentiated approach to content presentation and audience activation
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solver who is data-driven, flexible, able to change directions quickly, and understands the nature of a fast-evolving, high-profile business
  • Strong experience with and commitment to cross-functional collaboration; interpersonally savvy
  • Comfort with synthesizing data into strategic recommendations and compelling slide presentations to senior executives
  • Bachelor's degree required



Preferred Qualifications

  • Have successfully led significant cross-functional initiatives in a large, complex organization, juggling the perspectives and inputs of a wide variety of key partners and collaborators
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, leading through influence toward alignment and execution in a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to think strategically on critical business needs, and to simultaneously act tactically - and tactfully - to complete them
  • Proven track record of cultivating action collaboratively, both day-to-day and broadly across product development cycles
  • Experience translating sports rights or live event data into actionable editorial and product recommendations that measurably improve fan engagement
  • MBA preferred
