The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is looking for a proactive Business Administrator (Specialist) to support the Reactor Plant Contractors' Office (RPCO) at Newport News Shipbuilding. This role offers unique growth and leadership opportunities, serving as the on site representative for the NNL in coordinating Security, Facilities, and Safety activities. You will manage essential office operations including budgeting, support travel management, SharePoint site management, PPE programs, shipping/receiving, personnel onboarding, security operations, and facility upkeep while supporting RPCO managers and staff. The position also involves maintaining technical libraries and using tools like OneNote, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft lists, workflows, databases, and spreadsheets to keep the organization running smoothly. Roughly half of the Business Administrator's time will be spent supporting the local office directly, while the other half will be supporting the entire Shipyard Field Engineering program through process improvements, developing computer-based tools, and supporting program's administrative staff with operations and program initiatives. Pay Range
$57,500.00 - $88,000.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.
