Position Title: Production/Assembly Technician
Wage: $18.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:30am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday (end at 3:30pm with OT, Friday work until 11:00am) Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and enjoy building high-quality products? We are looking for a dedicated Production/Assembly Technician to join a growing team in Fort Atkinson, WI. In this role, you will assemble precision products including scales, sensors, and indicators while working in a clean, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Production/Assembly Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assemble a variety of products related to scales, sensors, and indicators according to specifications - Read and interpret work orders, assembly instructions, and blueprints - Use hand tools and production equipment, including soldering irons, screwdrivers, drills, cable cutters, and related tools - Perform soldering and hand assembly tasks with accuracy and attention to detail - Ensure workstations are properly stocked with components, connectors, seals, and other materials needed for production - Report inventory shortages and assist with replenishment as needed - Operate production equipment safely and efficiently - Inspect materials and components to identify defects or non-conforming products - Read charts and specifications to identify the correct parts and components for assembly - Complete quality documentation, time studies, and production reports as required - Clean, package, and prepare completed products for shipment - Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals and maintain quality standards - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Perform other duties as assigned Production/Assembly Technician Requirements: - High school diploma or GED equivalent - Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and assembly instructions - Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong teamwork and communication skills - Basic understanding of manufacturing, production, and quality processes - Preferred previous experience in assembly, electronics manufacturing, or production environments - Preferred soldering experience or certification - Preferred technical training in electronics, assembly, or manufacturing - Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday - Frequent use of hands for detailed assembly work requiring fine motor skills - Regular lifting of materials and components up to 10 pounds - Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds - Ability to move materials or equipment weighing up to 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment - Ability to safely operate hand tools and production equipment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
