Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Establish modern sales processes, cadence, and performance discipline across all field roles.

  • Build scalable leadership capability with District Managers, Account Managers (Educational Representatives), and Business Development Representatives.
  • Ensure leaders operate within defined cadences: daily activity management, weekly coaching, and structured pipeline reviews.
  • Evaluate leadership readiness and restructure underperforming regions as needed. Elevate or exit talent to ensure the right leaders are in the right seats.

Revenue Growth & Market Development

  • Drive top-line growth through new school acquisition, expanded district relationships, and retention of existing programs.
  • Drives new school acquisition and deepens district and educator partnerships.
  • Align the sales structure with opportunity potential (school density, TAM, and program penetration).
  • Expand market share across rentals, repairs, and ensemble programs volume through stronger educator engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Guitar Center Music Foundation (GCMF) and Marketing for community-based fundraising and awareness campaigns.

Operational & Sales Excellence

  • Ensures Salesforce adoption, CRM rigor, and SLA compliance.
  • Deploys or partners with operational functions (RLCs, Ops, Finance) to streamline non-selling tasks.
  • Champions technology adoption to improve productivity and visibility.

Compensation, Accountability & Performance Systems

  • Redesign compensation and incentive structures tied to activity, accountability, and community impact.
  • Build dashboards and KPIs that align to leading indicators and revenue-producing behavior.
  • Instill transparency and clarity around expectations, rewards, and consequences.

  • Proven success transforming or scaling a sales team within an education, music, or service-based B2B environment.
  • Deep understanding of relationship-based sales, pipeline discipline, and community engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change, reset culture, and build belief within legacy organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen, including compensation design, P&L literacy, and ROI-driven decision-making.
