Assistant Store Manager, HARIBO Retail Shop-- Wrentham, MA

TheAssistant Store Manager - HARIBO Retail Shop will help ensure operational excellence at the store location while also providing training, coaching, leadership and mentoring to hourly store associates. This is a full-time role that reports directly the Store Manager. In addition to assistant manager duties related to operations, the Assistant Store Manager will also greet customers, ring up orders at the register, stock shelves, and all other duties aligned to ensure smooth operations and a memorable customer experience in our retail shop.

As a full-time, 40+ hours per week associate, you will be eligible for HARIBO's phenomenal benefits package including insurance, paid time off, and bonuses. The ideal Assistant Store Manager candidate will have 5+ years of work experience within a retail store environment and prior Assistant Manager or Shift Manager level responsibilities. The ability to work 40+ hours per week on day, evening, and weekend shifts is required along with the ability to exhibit "Childlike Happiness" - one of HARIBO's core values, and spread this "Childlike Happiness" to our HARIBO retail shop customers by creating a memorable experience for all shoppers. Responsibilities:

• Assistant Manager duties including operations, inventory, stock management, stocking of shelves, unloading incoming orders, training, staff scheduling and ensuring adequate staff coverage, and customer service
• Open and/or close the store safely and properly
• Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring a team of retail shop associates
• Greeting customers, sampling activities - inside and outside of the store, ringing up orders, stocking shelves and backroom, cleaning, organizing, setting up displays
• Ensure all food hygiene processes are followed
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
• 5+ years of work experience in retail or hospitality roles
• Prior experience as a Manager, Assistant Manager, Shift Lead, or Supervisory role
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week with flexibility to meet the needs of the retail shop business - ability to work days (open and mid-days), evenings (close), weekdays, weekend shifts, and holidays

• Ability to work on-site, everyday, at assigned physical HARIBO shop/store location
• Frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
• Occasionally move up to 40 lbs
• Occasionally bend, reach, climb (using a ladder)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an Assistant Manager or Shift Manager level role
• Prior experience working in specialty, premium brand focused retail is preferred
• Prior experience working in the Wrentham Premium Outlets
• Prior experience in a high-touch, customer experience focused retail environment
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
• Multi-lingual a plus / Ability to speak multiple languages

Compensation and Benefits

Target Hiring Pay Range: $50,000- $70,000 annually

This pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting.
