Cyber Security Analyst

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join a pivotal team focused on safeguarding sensitive information. In this role, you will be at the forefront of data protection, directly contributing to the security posture of vital systems and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of client and business data. Your expertise will be crucial in defending against evolving threats, implementing cutting-edge security practices, and making a tangible difference in a fast-paced and impactful environment.

What You'll Do

• Deliver operational processes for data security, specifically related to Database Activity Monitoring.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to information security risks, including policy violations and threats to databases.
• Support security operations, risk management, and engineering teams to mature the data protection program.
• Continuously learn, solve complex problems, and contribute to the team's advancement in data security.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed documentation.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with peers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience effectively communicating complex security concepts to business teams.
• A strong passion for designing and implementing solutions to automate manual processes.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CIA, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1+ years of security experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Data Protection concepts, including Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, Data at Rest versus Data in Motion, and Unstructured versus Structured data.
• A solid understanding of information security best practices and technologies.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and/or PowerShell.
• Analytical background and approach, particularly in event classification, event correlation, and root cause analysis.
