Environmental Services Assistant I (HM JR93182) - Part Time - 20 Hrs. Weekly/40 Hrs. Biweekly - 7am - 3:30pm Day Shift (EVS/Wilmington)

The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of patient care areas, offices, and hospital facilities. This role supports infection prevention efforts and promotes a safe, welcoming environment throughout the organization.

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Clean and disinfect isolation and precaution rooms in accordance with infection control standards.
• Collect and dispose of trash, soiled linens, and bulk waste.
• Maintain adequate supplies of paper products and soap in assigned areas.
• Keep equipment, carts, and Environmental Services closets clean, organized, and safe.
• Respond promptly to work assignments and department communications using mobile devices.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and equipment damage to leadership.
• Follow all departmental policies, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
• Attend required training and department meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and team members.

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to use smartphones or similar mobile devices for work assignments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in areas with potential exposure to infectious diseases while following required safety precautions.
• Safety glasses must be worn at all times.
