Responsibilities:

Apply structural engineering codes and standards in the analysis and design of structural systems
• Analyze and design buildings, building foundations, equipment foundations, steel structures, and miscellaneous structural systems supporting industrial, manufacturing, commercial, energy, and infrastructure projects
• Evaluate and design modifications to existing structures and facilities
• Conduct structural analysis using various structural engineering software programs such as STAAD, TEDDS, RISA and SP-MATS for the design of buildings, building foundations, equipment foundations, masonry structures, and miscellaneous concrete and steel structures
• Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials, primarily steel, concrete, and masonry
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Coordinate structural design requirements and project criteria with architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and other project disciplines

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required
• Previous intership preferred; 1+ years of experience working on various structural projects with an emphasis on industrial/manufacturing projects
• EIT certification or ability to obtain certification within one year preferred
• Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of industry codes and standards (ACI, AISC, AISI, ASCE, AWS, MBMA, SDI, SJI)
• Ability to perform field/site visits
• Ability to travel (estimated travel time is 10%)
• AutoCAD and Revit experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Navisworks
• Understanding of applicable structural engineering codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318, and relevant industrial design practices
• Experience working with AutoCAD is a plus
