Summary:

The Senior Data Analyst provides advanced data, systems, and business analytics support for DoD and VA disability evaluation and related programs. This position analyzes large and complex datasets from multiple sources, identifies data frameworks and requirements, supports enterprise-level data and system architecture, and develops analytical products to support program performance, quality assurance, policy development, and operational decision-making. The Senior Data Analyst also oversees personnel supporting data and analytics activities and ensures data processes and solutions align with applicable DoD requirements and enterprise standards.

Personnel are assigned in support of DHHQ in Falls Church, VA, but may work from the contractor facility or remotely when authorized.

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead and oversee data and business analytics activities supporting complex DoD and VA programs.
• Supervise and provide technical direction to personnel supporting data analysis, reporting, systems, and data management activities.
• Analyze large datasets from multiple systems and sources to identify trends, performance measures, data-quality issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Identify and define data frameworks, structures, sources, requirements, and analytical methodologies needed to execute program tasks and meet operational objectives.
• Develop, refine, and generate recurring and ad hoc reports using appropriate data analysis and reporting tools.
• Integrate system-level data requirements and architectures into enterprise-level solutions that support program objectives and applicable DoD requirements.
• Assess existing systems and data structures and recommend improvements to system capabilities, performance, functionality, and data integrity.
• Develop and document data requirements, business rules, data relationships, process flows, and system requirements.
• Support the development and maintenance of business process maps and data models to document inputs, outputs, decision points, system interactions, and process variations.
• Provide other support as needed.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to analyze complex information and develop clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and provide technical direction to data and analytics personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possesses a bachelor's degree in any IT related field.
• Relevant data analytics certifications (Google Data Analytics Professional, Microsoft, Tableau, AWS or CAP).
• 6+ years of systems and/or business analytics experience.
• 5+ years of experience supervising or overseeing personnel.
• 3+ years of experience identifying data frameworks needed to execute relevant tasks.
• Tier 1/non-sensitive, with the applicable DHA background investigation and suitability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• Experience integrating system-level data requirements and architectures into enterprise-level architectures that meet DoD regulations is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually.
