POSITION SPECIFICS Penn State Human Resources is seeking a team-oriented self-starter to join the talent acquisition organization. The Recruiter- Senior Supervisor will report to the Manager Full-Time Talent Acquisition and will be embedded in The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL). This is a dual-role position responsible for supervising, mentoring, and guiding a team of Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Specialists throughout the full talent acquisition life cycle. The role will also manage a requisition workload and serve as a talent advisor to hiring managers, with a strong focus on sourcing candidates and building talent pipelines. This role is a member of the talent acquisition leadership team and is responsible for ensuring individual contributor SLAs are achieved as well as resolving escalated issues from team members. ARL is an integral part of one of the leading research universities in the nation and serves as a University Center of Excellence in Defense science, systems, and technologies with a focus in naval missions and related areas. As UARC (University Affiliated Research Center), ARL maintains a long-term strategic relationship with the U.S. Navy and provides support to the Navy, the Intel Community (IC), and other federal government customers. ARL is comprised of over 1,700 employees located at multiple locations throughout the United States. You will lead a team that is responsible for the continuing evolution of ARL's talent acquisition program that is focused on providing expertise in the areas of active recruitment and sourcing, and act as an advisor to ARL managers throughout the hiring process. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work in State College, PA. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.You will be required to travel for networking and events. Employees must be eligible to obtain a government security clearance, participate in the ARL drug testing program, and comply with electronic and physical monitoring requirements applicable to federal contractors. ARL operates in a secure information environment involving Unclassified, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and Classified information.
