R&D Technician Location: Valencia, CA Pay Rate: Up to $41.50/hour Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite We are seeking an experienced R&D Technician to support research and development projects in a hands-on laboratory and engineering environment. This temporary opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong electronics assembly, soldering, prototype development, cable assembly, and troubleshooting experience. Key Responsibilities Assemble, modify, test, and repair electronic and electromechanical prototypes Perform precision soldering and desoldering of through-hole, SMT, and fine-pitch components Build and modify cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and test fixtures Support engineering teams with prototype builds, verification testing, and product development activities Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using schematics, drawings, and test equipment Conduct electrical rework on circuit boards and replace electronic components as needed Verify product functionality using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation Maintain quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Required: Associate degree or equivalent related experience Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics assembly, R&D, engineering support, or laboratory environments Advanced soldering and electronic rework skills Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and related test equipment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Preferred: Experience with prototype development and automated test equipment (ATE) Background in cable assembly and harness fabrication Ability to work independently and within cross-functional engineering teams Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Program Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance Apply today to join an innovative engineering team supporting cutting-edge product development and testing projects in Valencia, CA.
