Position Summary: The Director, IT Infrastructure, defines the strategic vision for servers, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure to align with business objectives. This role drives modernization initiatives such as business continuity; disaster recovery processes and infrastructure; cloud strategies; virtualization and automation; and identifies technical debt, assesses cost implications, and prioritizes remediation efforts. They plan and manage budgets for infrastructure investments, oversee vendor relationships and contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards. Additionally, the Director, IT Infrastructure, collaborates on new facility construction projects and supports international expansion plans. This role requires strong leadership of managers and senior technical staff, deep understanding of modern infrastructure platforms including cloud and hybrid environments, and oversight of IT service management, security, risk and compliance. They will be experienced in handling infrastructure budgets, vendor and partner relationships, and portfolio-level delivery while effectively translating technical priorities and risk into business impact for executive stakeholders. The Director, IT Infrastructure, leads Sr. Managers and Managers, works closely with the CIO and senior leadership across departments including Information Security, Facilities, Security, Finance, and Operations, and engages with external vendors, consultants, and strategic partners to ensure the company infrastructure aligns with organizational goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise-wide infrastructure teams, provide leadership to Managers and Sr. Managers, and set the vision for the infrastructure teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Define infrastructure strategy, including modernization initiatives, cloud adoption, and global scalability.
• Collaborate with senior leadership across departments such as Information Security, Facilities, and Security to support enterprise initiatives.
• Make high-impact timely decisions on technology investments, vendor selection, and infrastructure priorities.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement, introducing new technologies and methodologies to enhance performance and resilience.
• Lead the team in identifying and solving complex problems, breaking down challenges into manageable tasks, providing guidance on how to tackle them, and in adopting processes for continuous improvements.
• Ensure leadership and technical teams stay current with emerging technologies and compliance requirements.
• Develop leadership talent within the infrastructure organization, focusing on succession planning and executive readiness.
• Coach and mentor team talent, setting clear priorities and success metrics.
• Develop leadership and influence skills for indirect management.
• Own multi-million-dollar budgets, prioritize investments, and align spending with business objectives.
• Oversee resolution of complex infrastructure challenges and ensure long-term stability through strategic planning.
• Ensure that RCAs are rigorous, actionable and lead to measurable improvements in infrastructure stability and reliability.
• Own the enterprise-wide vendor strategy and partner ecosystem, including contract negotiations, strategic alignment, risk management, and performance oversight. Drive vendor selection and investments to ensure scalable, secure and cost-effective infrastructure services that support the business.
• Oversee compliance programs for infrastructure, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal governance policies.
• Oversee resolution of complex infrastructure challenges and drive long-term stability through strategic planning.
• Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities, including requests for maintenance when needed for both personal space and multi-use department spaces.
• Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Education/Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred. 15+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure operations, and 7 years of increasing managerial experience in an IT leadership role required.
• Ability to provide leadership to the corporate-wide infrastructure team, guiding Sr. Managers while aligning with organizational goals. This role sets the strategic direction for infrastructure operations, fosters collaboration, and drives accountability to ensure consistent, high-quality services across the enterprise.
• Experience defining infrastructure strategy, including modernization initiatives, cloud adoption, and solutions that support global scalability and long-term business objectives.
• Must be able to clearly, concisely and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
• Relationship building skills with a natural sense of curiosity.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and empathetic style.
• Proven expertise in managing multi-million-dollar budgets, prioritizing strategic investments, and aligning spending with business objectives.
• Expertise in guiding cross-functional teams, resolving organizational conflicts, and ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide strategic objectives.
• Proficient in directing enterprise-level projects including data center migrations and global infrastructure deployments.

Working Conditions:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
• Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
