POSITION SUMMARY:

Serves as Project Manager and print technical expert for a key global account sitting onsite at the client's office (4 days/week, 1 day remote) in midtown Manhattan. The purpose of this position is to facilitate packaging projects in the upfront planning and execution phases of the workflow. As a key facilitator within the supply chain for packaging artwork, you will communicate with clients, design firms, printers, and our operations team to ensure proper printability for packaging. As a key figure within the process, you will help maintain and improve the SGX relationship with the Client, by providing consultative value, excellent service and on-time/in-full delivery.

Your primary responsibilities are to collaborate with design clients on the production approach upfront in the early stages of the project, evaluating color development, special finishes, the need for print trials and attending occasional print trials to work directly with printers. As projects progress, you will plan for global "bundles" to be created and shared with regional markets, including gathering key inputs to the process and briefing our operations team on the project scope and requirements. In the execution phase, you will partner with production clients on artwork and prepress scheduling, estimating, timelines and prioritization, potential challenges and issue resolution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Consult with clients, agencies, and operations during the artwork development and pre-press execution phases
  • Run and/or attend any pre-production meetings (and other meetings), and print trials when feasible, per Client request especially for high complexity projects
  • Manage estimating, obtaining Purchase Orders, and ensuring invoices and paid on time
  • Respond in a timely manner to Clients, building rapport and trust
  • Lead and manage relationships with our Client(s) and internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate artwork issues with the client as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond quickly and cordially to requests of Client/On-Site Personnel /Sales and others
  • Document all critical and pertinent information that may impact quality
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the business
  • Verify technical supplied data is correct to supplied art
  • Manage project timelines and simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Communicate received and shipped art to On-Site Personnel/Sales/Client and perform user functionality in a Client's database used for tracking artwork projects
  • Understand the Client's process (deliverables, rework)
  • Communicate issues to Management
  • Order entry (ensure orders are complete and concise when delivered to production)
  • Understands all aspects of production and manufacturing
  • Create and update price matrices based on client needs
  • May provide training and guidance to junior Project Managers or new team members
  • Additional duties as needed



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • 3+ years progressive project coordination experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $100,000 USD - $110,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
