Purpose of Position:

HR Business Partner will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management at the Livingston Prepared Plant. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues; successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. This position executes processes that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, supporting Foster Poultry Farms' mission, vision, and ACTION guiding principles: Accountability, Collaboration, Truth-Seeking, Initiative, Ownership, and Nimbleness

Salary Range: $78,850 - 98,575

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Consult with supervisors/management, provide HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct effective and objective investigations.
  • Recruit exempt and non-exempt employees to ensure best candidates possible are selected. Manage and coordinate Foster Farms, enterprise-wide, college recruiting programs.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Administer and oversee the leave of absence (LOA) process, including handling employee inquiries, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies, facilitating communication between employees and management, monitoring leave statuses, and supporting successful return-to-work transitions.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Knowledge of performance management, talent management, safety practices, talent acquisition, Team Member relations, and compensation strategy, with the ability to apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employment law.
  • Change agent with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Active listener with solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive continuous improvement and results.
  • Must demonstrate sound HR decision making.
  • Must be able to coach Team Members and leaders, up to Director level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and demonstrated experience utilizing HRMS.
  • Must have a valid CA driver's license or be able to acquire one, and reliable transportation.
  • Must have consistent and reliable attendance.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:



  • 4 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish.
  • Bilingual preferred English/Spanish
