Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This
revenue-generating, field-based position is responsible for selling industrial
products, software, and services across weighing, automation, and control
markets. The role requires managing both transactional and consultative sales,
from lower-cost products to complex capital equipment with short- and long-term
sales cycles.

The successful
candidate will generate opportunities through proactive prospecting, manage
assigned accounts, develop territory business plans, and work directly with
customers and through OEMs, system integrators, engineering firms,
distributors, and contractors to drive sales growth.

Key
Responsibilities

  • Develop account penetration plans
    and execute strategies to achieve sales objectives.
  • Generate new business through
    prospecting and follow up on qualified leads.
  • Build and maintain relationships
    with customers, partners, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Identify customer needs and
    recommend appropriate products, software, and services.
  • Prepare and deliver sales
    presentations virtually and in person.
  • Collaborate across the organization
    to expand account opportunities and promote Mettler Toledo as a trusted
    partner.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly
    to retain and grow business.
  • Manage territory coverage, sales
    activities, and time effectively.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions,
    defend pricing, and minimize discounting.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines
    and timely CRM records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering,
    industrial technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent
    experience.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience with
    a demonstrated record of success.
  • Experience with OEMs, system
    integrators, engineering firms, contractors, automation, process controls,
    or capital equipment is preferred.
  • Strong technical, presentation,
    written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    and CRM/ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational,
    prioritization, negotiation, and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated, strategically
    minded, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Technical knowledge in areas such
    as industrial systems, mechanical or electrical engineering, material
    science, mathematics, or data analytics is beneficial.
  • Product management experience with
    technical products is preferred.
