Shop Welder

Build it. Fit it. Weld it.

RK Mechanical is hiring Pipe Shop Fabricators at Levels 1, 2, and 3 in Aurora, Colorado. If you take pride in a clean fit-up, an accurate spool, and a quality weld, we'd like to hear from you.

Pay: $26-$42 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

You'll fabricate and assemble piping systems from drawings and specifications, prepare and fit materials, weld using processes you're qualified for, and check your work for accuracy and quality.

Find your fit:

• Fabricator 1: Qualified for 1G/3G welding. Prepare materials, perform basic fit-up and fabrication, and learn from experienced teammates.

• Fabricator 2: Qualified for 6G welding. Weld pipe in multiple positions, work from spool sheets and isometrics, and help develop Level 1 fabricators.

• Fabricator 3: Qualified for 6G welding with demonstrated pipe-fitting proficiency. Independently lay out, fit, weld, and assemble complex piping systems.

Industrial pipe shop experience, the ability to read measurements and fabrication drawings, and a commitment to safety and quality are important. A high school diploma or GED is required.

In-state candidate incentives:

• Within 0-100 miles: $2,000 sign-on bonus paid as a lump sum on your first paycheck. No relocation assistance or housing.

• More than 100 miles away: $5,000 in relocation assistance paid through an installment plan. No lump-sum payment, housing, or sign-on bonus.
