| Position Highlights |
The School of Health Professions (SHP) is excited to welcome applicants for the role of Admissions Counselor II. This role's primary purpose is to support student recruitment, applicant communication, admissions processing, interview coordination, and pre-matriculation requirements for SHP graduate and professional programs. SHP programs include Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Nurse-Midwifery, Genetic Counseling and other developing programs. Reporting to and working collaboratively with the Admissions Counselor III the Admissions Counselor II serves as a primary point of contact for prospective applicants and supports them from initial inquiry through application processing, interview, and pre-matriculation requirements. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Identify and plan outreach events for prospective students.
- Regularly seek out new and unique opportunities for prospective student interaction and engagement.
- Utilize administrative and other software tools to manage ongoing communications with prospective students.
- Respond to prospective student inquiries in a professional and timely manner via email, phone, webinar, or in-person.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective applicants regarding program requirements, application deadlines, and general program questions.
- Track, document, and support completion of outstanding prerequisite coursework and pre-matriculation requirements for applicants recommended for admission.
- Process and maintain transcripts, document uploads, applicant records, and related documentation in appropriate systems and folders.
- Collaborate with SHP program faculty and staff to support student recruitment and selection processes.
- Represent the SHP at relevant recruitment functions and events - some of which may be evenings or weekends and at times outside of the State of Arizona.
- Participate in informational webinars, pre-health club presentations, tabling events, and other recruitment activities with campus and community partners.
- Maintain a solid knowledge of SHP graduate and professional programs and University of Arizona graduate and professional admissions processes to assist and advise prospective students.
- Assist SHP program admissions committees as needed.
- Update and manage applications in relevant systems such as GradApp, Centralized Application Services (CAS), and WebAdMIT.
- Assist with initial application processing and evaluation to ensure applicants meet minimum requirements. Advise applicants of missing requirements and pathways for application completion.
- Manage and coordinate candidate interviews, including applicant check-in, coordination of applicant movement, monitoring interview rotations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting an organized applicant experience.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate prospective student outreach and recruitment events on- and off-campus, including virtual events.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate applicant and admissions-related records using appropriate systems and tools.
- Update enrollment-related content to ensure accuracy of information provided on the website, marketing materials and any other platforms available to prospective students.
- Collaborate with the Admissions Counselor III to develop and implement email, print, and digital communication and marketing strategies for programs and initiatives.

- Skilled in public speaking and presenting to groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and track multiple tasks, people, and projects.
- Facility with different types of software platforms.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 year of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
