Senior Program Manager, Global Employee Engagement - Infrastructure & Impact

Microsoft's Washington State & Global Employee Engagement (WSGEE) team sits at the intersection of public policy, philanthropy, and employee engagement. The team is responsible for strengthening the company's long-term trust, credibility, and impact across Washington State, while also driving employee giving and volunteerism across the world. Its flagship program, Microsoft Give, generated more than $250M in giving in fiscal year 2026, including the company match, and more than 1.2M volunteer hours, supporting more than 36,000 nonprofits worldwide.

Employee engagement at Microsoft's scale runs on a platform: it is where employees give and volunteer, where campaigns come to life, and where the data lives that tells the story of our impact. The Global Employee Engagement team is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Infrastructure & Impact to be the programmatic owner of that backbone. You will translate program goals into how the platform works for employees and nonprofits: configuring campaigns and giving opportunities, defining segmentation and targeting, setting up matching and volunteer programs, standing up the campaign pages and reporting behind fundraising events and signature moments, and resolving the program questions that arise along the way, working in close partnership with the operations and systems team that manages day-to-day operations. You will also lead the evolution of how Microsoft measures impact, from dollars and hours to community outcomes, and use data and AI to reach the right employees with the right opportunities at the right time.

You will shape how a global program is built and delivered on its platform, work with senior leaders and partners across CELA, HR, and Finance, and define what the next generation of engagement infrastructure looks like as AI changes how programs are personalized, measured, and run.

The Senior Program Manager will report to the Senior Director, Global Employee Engagement, on the Washington State & Global Employee Engagement team. The position will be based at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, Washington.

Platform & Program Enablement

• Serve as the programmatic owner of Microsoft's employee giving and volunteering platform: define what programs need from it, shape priorities and the roadmap in partnership with the Senior Director, and translate program goals into platform configuration, campaign setup, and employee experience, in close partnership with the operations and systems team.
• Continuously optimize the platform, integrate it across the business, and evaluate new technology, including AI, to improve the experience for employees and nonprofit partners.

Data, Reporting & Impact Measurement

• Define success metrics for participation, outcomes, employee sentiment, and community impact, and build the measurement approach that moves from activity counts toward community outcomes, including third-party validation where it strengthens the story.
• Drive program data, dashboards, and reporting, and make them accessible so business units across the company can act on their own.
  Deliver the reporting behind campaign and executive updates, and partner across the team to turn data and employee insights into recommendations that improve engagement and future campaign design.

Program Design & Governance

• Design the program requirements, frameworks, and decision trees for recurring work, such as eligibility, approvals, escalations, and employee giving campaign protocols, and make them repeatable.
• Document protocols and maintain the compliance calendar in partnership with program and policy owners.
• Lead unique programmatic workstreams, such as the employee giving process for disaster relief.

Campaign Management & Personalization

• Serve as the program liaison for every campaign, from Give Month and always-on giving to custom campaign moments for business groups, regions, and Washington State, standardizing the campaign methodology so each one succeeds end to end.
• Use AI and analytics to segment and target employees so the right opportunities reach the right people at the right time, and personalization scales without scaling the team.
• Support signature fundraising events and employee-created events with the platform setup, campaign pages, and reporting they need to succeed.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree AND 3+ years work experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropies, corporate affairs, government affairs, business and international development, or related area OR Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years work experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropies, corporate affairs, government affairs, business and international development, or related area

  • OR equivalent experience.
• Program leadership experience using an employee giving, volunteering, or grants platform, or a CRM, to design and deliver campaigns and programs at a large organization, in partnership with operations and systems teams.
• Deep understanding of employee giving and matching gift programs, including IRS requirements and international regulations that govern them.
• 3+ years' experience managing corporate social responsibility (CSR), social impact, or employee engagement programs.
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI, and with impact measurement or program evaluation frameworks.
• Experience leading platform scoping, requirements, or implementation with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
• Experience designing operational processes, governance, and decision frameworks for programs at scale in a large, matrixed organization.
• Hands-on fluency with AI and analytics tools for segmentation, personalization, and reporting, and curiosity about how they can extend a small team's reach.
• Understanding of the employee engagement and corporate philanthropy landscape, including platforms, data standards, and impact measurement practices.
• Experience participating in employee giving and/or volunteering programs.

Corporate Social Responsibility IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $105,800 - $204,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $138,400 - $223,300 per year.
