Function: Engineering and Engineering Services Job Summary:You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and lead a team of Project Engineers. You will oversee project engineering activities and guide the project engineering group. Your role includes providing technical support and expertise on all capital projects. Your contributions will address immediate needs while balancing long-term priorities, fostering ownership, and creating enthusiasm for the vision, goals, and necessary business changes. This is a safety-sensitive position. Job Description: Some engineering roles are about maintaining what already exists. This one is about shaping what comes next. You'll lead engineers, influence major investment decisions, and bring together multidisciplinary teams and contractors to execute complex projects across the site. Why This Role Matters You'll lead the Project Engineering team responsible for delivering improvements that enhance safety, reliability, energy efficiency, production, and regulatory compliance. From defining project scope and building the business case to managing execution and long-term capital planning, you'll help determine where we invest, what we improve, and what comes next. Lead Projects That Make an Impact Lead multidisciplinary teams through the planning and execution of capital projects. Define project scope, justification, schedules, and resource requirements. Lead Management of Change for major projects. Support turnaround planning, engineering work requests, and critical site initiatives. Shape the Future of the Site Manage the annual capital spending forecast and five-year capital plan. Forecast project cash flows and help ensure capital is deployed effectively. Provide technical evaluation of projects related to nitrogen manufacturing. Lead engineering and construction contractors to ensure work meets design specifications and applicable codes. Develop Great Engineers Lead and develop the Project Engineering team. Build technical capability through individual development plans. Create opportunities for engineers to grow while strengthening the capabilities the organization needs for the future. You'll help ensure: Projects improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and production. Capital investments align with site priorities. Projects are executed with clear scope, planning, and accountability. Engineers continue developing their technical and leadership capabilities. You Might Be a Great Fit If You... Have 8+ years of engineering experience. Bring significant experience developing, estimating, and executing capital projects greater than $5 million. Have experience leading projects from scope development through execution. Have led engineers or bring a strong technical background in fertilizer manufacturing. Know how to lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and complex project work. Have experience in a nitrogen fertilizer plant, chemical manufacturing facility, refinery, or similar industrial environment. Hold a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree, preferred.
