What You Will Do

• Lead the strategic refresh and rebuild of a flagship mobile application while maintaining excellence in the existing platform.
• Guide the development of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), establish clear product roadmaps, and define strategic priorities that align with user needs and business goals.
• Act as the primary advocate for the Voice of the Customer, translating user needs into compelling product requirements and priorities that drive innovation.
• Drive critical go/no-go decisions for platform migration, ensuring a seamless and successful transition to the new application.
• Integrate seamlessly into an established mobile environment, making immediate contributions to ongoing initiatives and evolving our digital offerings.
• Own the product roadmap and backlog, expertly managing feature prioritization, release planning, and balancing competing requirements to deliver maximum value.
• Provide impactful cross-functional leadership, collaborating effectively with mobile developers, architects, UX designers, business teams, and external vendors to bring product visions to life.

Essential Qualifications

• Direct Product Owner experience with meaningful ownership and strategic direction of a customer-facing mobile application.
• Proven experience with customer-facing iOS and/or Android platforms, including a strong understanding of native versus cross-platform development approaches.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, including APIs, backend integrations, authentication/security protocols, and overall mobile system design.
• Extensive experience navigating the full mobile development lifecycle, working closely with development teams on releases, enhancements, and application lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex customer and business needs into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills and technical credibility, fostering collaboration and driving consensus across diverse teams.

Highly Valued Qualifications

• Experience with React and/or React Native development frameworks.
• Background in cross-platform mobile development, especially involving transitions or migrations from native iOS/Android applications.
• Previous involvement in mobile modernization, rebuild, or MVP initiatives, including successful launches, migrations, platform changes, or critical go/no-go decisions.
