Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$21.54 - $26.93 / hour

The Behavioral Health Intake Analyst position is the point position for all internal/external referrals. Works with client, business office, and third-party payer to determine eligibility, facilitate admissions, and continued stay. Responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted flow in the client referral and admission process. Responsible for processing communications concerning intake of potential clients, initial phone screening to determine eligibility, and scheduling initial assessment appointments.

Utilizes knowledge of managed care procedures including pre-certification and concurrent review. Will be responsible for obtaining initial service authorization, continued stay authorization, and manage service denials. Attends clinical staffing and coordinates third party appeal process with payers. Other responsibilities include insurance verification, maintaining database on calls, facilitation completion of all assessments, ensuring follow-up on all internal and external referrals.

Education:Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Health, Nursing or a related mental health field required.

Experience:Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, healthcare, intake, care coordination or a related field preferred.

Other:Basic working knowledge of DSM diagnosis, mental status exam, and psychiatric medications, Excellent verbal and written skills, Excellent organizational ability, and ability to work in multi-discipline environment.
