Summary The Genomics Laboratory Operations Supervisor is an integral part of the Children's Hospital Colorado Precision Diagnostics Laboratory team. Oversees the Genomics Operational Laboratory team, which includes resolving issues, supporting operations and technical teams, and assisting in the implementation of solution workflows within a matrixed team environment. Contributes to fast and accurate outcomes while meeting patient care needs through collaboration with key partners and subject matter experts within the Center for Innovative Genomics. Shift Precision Diagnostics Laboratory Monday - Friday, day shift Requires flexibility to support weekend and evening staff as appropriate ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. These examples do not include all the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology or a related field EXPERIENCE - Five (5) years' experience in a high complexity genomics clinical laboratory setting. Broad knowledge of genetics, molecular biology, and sequencing technologies. Experience with clinical data, electronic health records (EHR). EQUIVALENCY -Combination of additional experience and education may substitute on a 1:1 year basis. CERTIFICATION(S) - N/A LICENSURE - N/A Preferred Requirements Ideal candidate would have previous people management experience and in-depth knowledge of complex genomic workflows. Deep expertise in complex genomics laboratory operations, testing methodologies, and end-to-end workflow management. Demonstrated success leading and developing laboratory personnel in fast-paced clinical and molecular diagnostic environments. Experience implementing and managing laboratory automation solutions and coordinating staffing and production schedules across multiple shifts to ensure operational excellence. Salary Information As part of our Total Rewards package, Children's Colorado offers an annual employee bonus program that rewards eligible team members based on organizational performance.
