As part of a world-class organization, you'll collaborate with exceptional technical and business leaders to expand HDR's market presence across Nevada and Utah, deepen client partnerships, and guide the strategic development of a connected, high-performing area practice. This is a unique opportunity to build on HDR's existing relationships and technical capabilities while positioning the Nevada-Utah program for the future-advancing innovative water solutions across two fast-growing states where water supply, treatment, reuse, and resilience are critical priorities.

What You'll Do
As the Nevada-Utah Area Water Business Group Manager, you will:
* Serve as the face of HDR's water practice across Nevada and Utah, strengthening our leadership position and visibility with clients and communities.
* Lead strategic growth initiatives as part of regional leadership, building on HDR's established relationships and capabilities while identifying new opportunities to expand our impact across the area.
* Guide the direction and performance of the Nevada-Utah Area Water Business Group, develop and implement strategies that strengthen operations, support technical excellence, and drive sustainable growth across both states.
* Partner with our Water Business Development Leader to expand into new markets, pursue major opportunities, and advance technical services, delivery methods, and quality standards aligned with HDR's strategic goals.
* Drive business performance by preparing annual revenue forecasts and budgets, monitoring results, and leading execution of the group's strategic plan.
* Foster strong collaboration across Nevada and Utah offices, and with regional and national teams, leveraging HDR's full range of expertise to maximize client satisfaction, growth, and profitability.
* Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing Nevada-Utah team, supporting staff development, succession planning, and the continued growth of the area business group.
* Cultivate and maintain trusted client relationships, supporting major pursuits and occasionally serving as a strategic client manager.
* Monitor key performance indicators and implement continuous improvements that enhance efficiency, delivery, and business outcomes.
* Champion HDR's standards and values, ensuring strong implementation of company policies, quality assurance, and risk management practices.
* Contribute to HDR's broader vision and strategy through participation in regional and company-wide planning initiatives.
* Support project excellence by facilitating project management and quality reviews in collaboration with regional and national discipline leaders.
* Represent HDR across the industry and community, reinforcing our reputation as a leader in water solutions.
Perform other leadership responsibilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
* Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
* 15+ years of experience strongly preferred
* Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams
* Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand
* Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managers

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
  • 10 years of experience
  • Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
  • Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
  • Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
