Production Material Planner

Job Title: Materials Production Planner

Location: On-Site Elizabeth City, NC

Pay/Duration: 30.00 - 45.00 per hour based off experience / 12 months plus contract to hire / PTO

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Planner / Scheduler to coordinate and expedite materials, supplies, and documentation to meet production and program schedules. Responsibilities include forecasting material requirements, generating requisitions, tracking orders and deliveries, monitoring inventory and costs, resolving material shortages, and coordinating with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics, and Program Management. The position also requires maintaining accurate records, preparing status reports, tracking schedule progress, and ensuring materials are available when needed.

Required Skills

Material planning, scheduling, and inventory control

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and supply chain coordination

Purchase requisitions, order tracking, and material expediting

Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, and ERP systems

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production schedules

Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to track costs, monitor schedules, and manage competing priorities

Cross-functional coordination and attention to detail

Education

Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
