About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Social Strategist to own organic social strategy across multiple channels, shaping what we publish, the audiences we reach, and the growth we drive. This is a hands-on role for someone who has built audiences from the ground up and understands that sustainable growth comes from starting conversations. The ideal candidate has experience with consumer-facing brands, video-led content, creator-driven social programs, and platform-native storytelling. You'll also help strengthen the social media function by evaluating existing tools, identifying gaps, and building a technology stack that supports publishing, community engagement, creator management, listening, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Strategy & Content
Own organic social strategy across Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and Reddit, defining each channel's role and success metrics.
Develop and manage content calendars, balancing ongoing programming with product launches and campaign moments.
Challenge conventional approaches and bring creative, well-reasoned ideas to social content.
Lead video-first and interactive content formats tailored to each platform.
Identify emerging trends and move quickly from concept to published content.
Audience Growth & Community Management
Drive follower, reach, and engagement growth against channel-specific targets.
Build meaningful two-way conversations with target audiences by developing community engagement guidelines and response protocols.
Identify relevant communities, conversations, and influential voices where the audience is already active.
Translate audience behavior and sentiment into actionable insights for content, product, and brand teams.
Personally manage high-priority or sensitive community interactions when needed.
Creator & Influencer Programs
Manage creator and influencer programs end to end, including sourcing, briefing, execution, and measurement.
Develop scalable operational processes, including creator databases, rate benchmarks, briefing templates, brand safety standards, and platform compliance.
Partner with agencies to execute user-generated content (UGC) and creator strategies that feel authentic to creators while aligning with brand objectives.
Tools, Data & Measurement
Evaluate and expand the social media technology stack across publishing, social listening, community management, creator management, and analytics.
Incorporate AI-powered tools and workflows into content creation, community management, and measurement processes.
Own regular reporting for organic social and creator programs, translating performance data into actionable insights and optimizations.
Define relevant success metrics and ensure accountability against performance goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with brand, creative, product marketing, communications, and paid media teams to integrate social into campaigns and launches.
Manage agency and platform partner relationships, including scope, timelines, and quality of deliverables.
Develop concepts and storyboards, collaborating with internal teams and external creators to bring product demonstrations, stories, and content to social channels.
Required Qualifications
5-8 years of experience in organic social strategy, with hands-on ownership of content, publishing, and community management across multiple channels.
An AI-native approach to social media, using AI tools to improve content creation, workflows, community engagement, and measurement.
Demonstrated success growing social audiences and engagement, supported by measurable results.
Strong platform expertise across Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
Experience creating video-first, interactive, and platform-native content.
Proven ability to build organic conversations and communities around a core audience.
End-to-end experience managing creator or influencer programs, including sourcing, briefing, brand safety, and measurement.
Strong understanding of social media tools for publishing, listening, community management, creator management, and analytics.
Excellent creative judgment with the ability to independently develop concepts, write copy, and shape content.
Strong writing skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity, brevity, and an appropriate tone.
Ability to combine data-driven insights with creative instincts to improve content performance.
Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and move quickly from an initial idea to execution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with a consumer-facing or direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand where organic social drove awareness and audience affinity.
A portfolio showcasing successful video-led, interactive, or creator-driven social programs.
Experience building a social media function from an early stage, including its processes, tools, and operational systems.
Experience managing sensitive topics and escalations in collaboration with communications, legal, or customer support teams.
Experience marketing to developer or technical audiences is a plus.
Previous experience working with social media platforms is beneficial but not required.
Success Metrics
Performance will be measured by:
Growth in followers, reach, and engagement against channel-specific targets.
Consistency, quality, and effectiveness of the content publishing calendar.
Performance of video-led and creator-driven content.
Response time and quality of community management.
Successful evaluation and expansion of the social media technology stack.
Quality and timeliness of reporting and the actionable insights generated for content, product, and brand teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on social strategist who combines creative thinking, strong execution, and analytical skills. They should be comfortable building processes with limited existing infrastructure, responding quickly to emerging trends, managing multiple social channels, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Candidates with primarily paid-social experience, strategy-only backgrounds, limited audience growth results, little hands-on creator experience, or portfolios focused exclusively on static brand posts may not be a suitable fit.
Interview Process
The interview process will follow the existing interview structure.
