Terracon Consultants, Inc. seeks Software Architect in Olathe, KS
- Provide senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the overall systems architecture.
- Work with product teams to guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and software.
- Review, advise and design standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.
- Contribute to the road map for each system, including (when known) technical or functional obsolescence dates.
- Assist in the development of and manage an architecture governance process.
- Provide technical guidance and productivity tools to product teams.
- Develop and maintain architectural assets including security requirements, principles, standards, policies, reference architectures, models, blueprints, roadmaps, frameworks, pattern sand services using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
- Research new technologies and demonstrate the use by developing proof of concept demonstrations.
- Work closely with cloud-native application architectures, including PaaS, IaaS, microservices, containerization, serverless computing, API design.
- Develop, create awareness for, and monitor adherence to integration standards that meet operational requirements, including scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability.
- Track industry trends and maintain knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise's architecture needs.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
- Participate in pre-task planning.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 10 years of related experience.
Required experience must include any amount of experience with all of the following:
- Databases and SQL server development
- ETL (Extract Transform and Load) processes
- Reviewing, advising, and designing development tools to develop APIs
- Integration standards, including scalability, maintainability, security and reliability of ERP and Edge Systems
- .NET, Angular, c#, and Rest API (Application Program Interface)
- JavaScript, Responsive design, TypeScript, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, and Azure
