Position Title: Press Brake Operator
Wage: $49,920-$58,240/year Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday QPS Employment Group is hiring a Press Brake Operator for a company in Liberty, MO. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift. Press Brake Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set stops on machine bed, change die, and adjust components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes - Operate power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications - Install, align, and secure gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools - Plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal -Inspect workpiece for defects - Measure workpiece and verify dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale - Select and position flat, block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine, using hoist, crane, measuring instruments and hand tools, including tape measure - Possess knowledge in forklift operations up to 6,000 pounds lift - Separate materials and organize materials on pallets - Identify parts and placements of said parts on correct pallets or workstations - Assist laser operator in material handling operations, loading/unloading laser as needed with materials - Dump scrap material in designated area - Remove materials from workstations and deliver to different areas throughout the plant - Basic knowledge of machine operations i.e. press brake/saw/shear/small drill Press Brake Operator Requirements: - Must have prior experience in press brake operation, set up, and programming - 2+ years of on-the-job experience IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
