Our client is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join their team. This role requires the ability to pivot between various accounting tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.If you are detail-oriented and eager to expand your expertise with an established company in the property managementsector, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: Assist with month-end close processes,including journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare and post various journal entries,ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Perform bank reconciliationsand manage the opening and closing ofbank accounts for each property. Process manual expense entriesand ensure transactions are properly recorded. Set up new vendors in Yardiand assist with vendor management. Review and approve AP/AR batches,ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Prepare and distribute various year-end reportsto support financial reporting and tax compliance. Assist with annual 1099 processingand ensure timely filings. Serve as a payroll backup,assisting with payroll processing and compliance as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably inreal estate, property management, or a similar industry. Proficiency in Yardi, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesin a deadline-driven environment. Understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting processes. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. Payroll experience or familiarity with payroll processing systems is a plus.
