This role provides a leading role in the transition to cloud computing. You will work with developers from multiple squads who are developing custom systems or integrating vendor solutions with regional or global applications. The Senior Cloud Engineer works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure public cloud platform solutions are optimized for functionality, reliability, availability, scalability, security and cost. This role will also contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices. Job Responsibilities The Senior Cloud Engineer works actively with domain architects and application development teams/squads to ensure cloud workloads comply with standards and function as expected. The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for: Cloud Standards: Work with architecture and security teams to define and enforce cloud standards, ensuring development teams understand and adhere to standards for consistency, security, and efficiency. Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Architecting and deploying scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions. They also work with domain architects to develop and maintain the roadmaps and standards. Automation and Orchestration: Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and deployments. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitoring cloud infrastructure performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations to ensure high availability and efficiency. Security Management: Implementing and managing security measures to protect cloud resources and data, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance with industry standards. Cost Management: Monitoring and optimizing cloud costs, implementing cost-saving strategies, and ensuring efficient resource utilization. Collaboration and Support: Working closely with development, operations, and security teams to support cloud-based applications and services, and providing technical guidance and support. Continuous Improvement: Staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, and continuously improving cloud infrastructure and processes. Disaster Recovery and Backup: Designing and implementing disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure business continuity. Salary Expectations: Target Hiring Range: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]'s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
