Job Title: EHS Specialist
Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080 Duration: 08 Months Position Summary: The Facilities Lab Support Associate plays a key role in supporting the Lab Services Department by ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. This role serves as a liaison between Lab Services and Facilities, as well as Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), to ensure observations and issues are promptly addressed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Key Responsibilities: * Participate in GEMBA walks on behalf of the Facilities Department and track/follow up on assigned actions. * Execute tasks assigned by the Senior Lab Specialist * Enter data and perform administrative tasks, including submitting work orders and tickets through the internal Footprints system. * Support the response and resolution of lab-related requests and offers. * Serve as a liaison with EH&S to support and follow up on safety observations and compliance-related items. * Generate and track work orders for Facilities issues observed in labs and lab support areas. * Provide light support for lab-related financial tasks, such as tracking orders or vendor interactions (as needed). * Assist with the coordination and execution of small projects, under the guidance of the Senior Lab Specialist. * Maintain an organized and professional presence in shared spaces to uphold lab safety and operational standards. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. * Previous experience in lab operations, facilities, or EH&S support is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. * Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset. * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and work order systems (e.g., Footprints, CMMS tools). * Ability to follow directions and work independently under minimal supervision. |
