Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Accurately prepares, build appropriate rationale, and submit prior authorizations with correct supporting data
  • Effectively communicates documentation, formulary needs with providers
  • Communicates outcomes with patients for all tasking and prior auths
  • Completes data entry for patient visits, rooms patients and takes vitals
  • Works inbox, correctly processing, taking appropriate action and documenting messages
  • Faxes new patient records to referring doctors daily, reviews and ensures all first visit paperwork is complete and present in the chart.
  • Monitors inboxes and fax boxes, working each fax appropriately and documenting outcomes.
  • Assists with obtaining and filing all necessary visit paperwork
  • Exemplifies compliance with all regulations and company policies.
  • Function independently with a high degree of integrity
  • Provides excellent customer service while interacting with customers
  • Accurately loads insurance information into the computer, updates information, and contacts insurance carriers to resolve insurance rejections.
  • Assists with mail orders, updates office records
  • Professionally administers and directs incoming calls
  • Maintains filing system and updates folders and reports
  • Takes on special projects as assigned and participates in required training
  • Maintain patients' confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
  • Must properly control the release of proprietary and confidential information
  • Complies with all recordkeeping requirements as determined by management
  • Completes all projects or additional duties as assigned.


EDUCATION/Experience:



  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Must have State Pharmacy Technician License in good standing
  • Understanding of medical terminology and calculations
  • Knowledge of insurance and third-party payment systems
