Supports the requirements of the eProcurement system, by facilitating the flow of electronic information and processes from requisition, source selections, encumbrances, purchases and payments.


Essential Functions



  • Responds to school and central office customer inquiries regarding financial and purchasing transaction
  • Reviews, analyzes and identifies any issues with requisitions and purchase orders generated through the e-Commerce and other procurement systems.
  • Performs procurement duties with the timely purchase of supplies, equipment, and services to support the on-going operation of schools and offices.
  • Assists users with various financial and purchasing transactions dealing with
  • Serves as the primary tactical interface between Baltimore City Public Schools suppliers and in-house users of goods and services.
  • Performs various systems administration functions within the e-Commerce
  • Confirms funds availability for non-electronic In addition, the Associate utilizes system data to prepare reports.
  • Resolves fiscal issues related to requisitions, purchases and receipt of goods to expedite the efficient payment of invoices and closing out of purchase orders.
  • Processes budget amendments, change orders, journal entries, expense reports and
  • Participates in the training programs offered to increase technical, interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency related to the projects to which assigned.

Desired Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. Degree must be from an accredited college or institution.
  • Three years' experience in a customer service environment including prior experience in processing sales orders, purchasing requests and/or accounts payable processing.
  • Experience in a Shared Service Center and Oracle MM and/or FI systems
  • Proficient in the use of technical computer applications, including MS Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Suite including Excel, Work, Outlook, Access and MS Project preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a strong customer service orientation and team
  • Skills in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks to meet
  • Ability to organize and analyze complex
