- Technically Skilled - You have a strong working knowledge of power generation systems, diesel and gaseous engines, AC/DC electrical systems, transfer switches, and switchgear.

About the Role: As a Journey-Level Power Systems Technician, you will:
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on diesel and gaseous generator sets and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including AVR, battery chargers, engine controls, and transfer switches.
- Conduct load bank testing, system adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
- Complete engine rebuilds and system upgrades to optimize power generation performance.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work meets factory and company standards.
- Work in a variety of field environments, often in remote locations across Alaska.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in power generation field service, specializing in diesel and gaseous generator systems.
- Education: Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Generation Technology is preferred but not required.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, transfer switches, switchgear, and engine controls.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications in generator service and repair are a plus.

Additional Job Details:
- Compensation: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour (DOE).
- Work Area: Anchorage, AK, with 75% travel across remote locations.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, with occasional weekends and 2-3 week remote assignments.
- Tools & Equipment: Must own and maintain a personal tool inventory suitable for the position.
- Travel & Licensing: Valid driver's license required; must be insurable under company policy.
