Description: Full time, faculty member to expand the sports medicine and musculoskeletal medicine at the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).

Our Sports Medicine Practice at MHS provides athletes with comprehensive care beginning with pre-habilitation and continuing through game day injury management and post injury rehabilitation. Our program includes performance enhancement as well as the management of acute injuries in collaboration with the emergency department teams, orthopedic surgeons, and with the core physical medicine and rehabilitation team, including cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, and balance rehabilitation. The Department of PM&R is expanding our Sports Medicine Practice in volume and scope of practice.

Requirements: Applicant must be a Board-Certified Physiatrist with subspecialty training in accredited or non-accredited Sports Medicine.

Responsibilities and Expectations: The applicant will be expected to help sustain and grow an active clinical practice across various practice locations in both the Bronx and in Westchester Counties. The physician will be expected to work closely with colleagues with the department as well as with physicians from other related fields including orthopedics, family medicine, and pediatrics. In addition, the applicant will actively participate in the training of our residents and sports medicine fellows. This responsibility includes curriculum development, direct supervision of trainees and their evaluation in collaboration with PM&R residency and sports medicine fellowship director. In addition, the applicant will be expected to take an active role in ongoing and new field related research endeavors in the area of musculoskeletal disorders and sports medicine.
