Under the direction of the Small Animal Surgical Services/Anesthesia manager and the Orthopedic Surgery Supervisor and the Advanced Veterinary Surgery Center (AVSC) supervisor, facilitate the scheduling of Orthopedic Surgery patients and manage patient care and client communication within the Orthopedic Surgery Service. This role is responsible for ensuring patient care standards for hospitalized patients, preparing patients for surgery, participating in surgeries as a surgical assistant, circulating in the operating room, and providing anesthesia support, including induction, monitoring, and post-surgical recovery of patients. Additional, responsibilities include client communication and education, including patient admissions and discharges This position will rotate between the VMTH and AVSC. Work cooperatively with others to foster strong team commitments towards achieving Surgery services objectives. This position may be eligible for a hiring bonus. RECRUITMENT PERIOD ONE MONTH: Applicants will be screened on a weekly basis. The position can be filled prior to the removal date.
