Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking a team player to fill a Solder Assembler role on our first shift at our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus. This role reports to the Manager of Manufacturing.



Responsibilities

  • Read and build assembly drawing along with the manufacturing work instructions.
  • Handle small precision tools, hardware, etc.
  • Shall be accountable for quality, quantity and inspection of all work performed.
  • Keep team lead informed of any build issues.
  • Properly sign in on correct PIDs, complete ESD testing, and follow all manufacturing guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain a neat appearance in their work area, reducing FOD when possible.


Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 - 4 years of equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications - Fluent in English
  • Experience with Word, Outlook, Kronos & PeopleSoft.
  • Applicant must have familiarity with electronic assemblies, and surface mount assemblies.
  • Ability to solder on most products in the factory.
  • Able to interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.

The hourly pay range for this role is $21.82 - $26.42 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 3%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
