Job Summary

Coordinates the day to day activities of assigned research projects. Coordinates and ensures the collection of data. Assists the principal investigator (PI) with moderately complex research and experimentation while following established protocols. Primary location of this position is Miramar, FL.

  • Assists Primary Investigators in coordinating the research activities for the Metropolitan Center and collaborative departments.
  • Performs and coordinates a wide range of research procedures and projects related to opinion research surveys and their analysis.
  • Coordinates research activities, including the development and implementation of procedures for projects, data collection and reporting initiatives.
  • Compiles and analyzes results independently and/or with minimum supervision. Conducts detailed statistical and data analysis.
  • Assists with research projects and may perform independent research. Compiles, processes and analyzes data.
  • Coordinates the administrative function for research projects such as editing reports, processing travel authorizations and expense reports.
  • May supervise and train graduate and student assistants.
  • Prepares reports based on data collection, research and provides interpretation of data, including delivering presentations to stakeholders.
  • Coordinates the public outreach on research projects and other activities undertaken by the department, may serve as liaison between the project team, outside agencies and the general public.
  • Maintains and updates the department website, social networking sites and promotional materials.
  • Assists with pursuing funding and preparation of research proposals in response to funding opportunities.
  • Develops and implements outreach campaigns. Assists in organizing public events and project presentations.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with participants and PI's. Assists in mentoring research assistants.
  • Exercises excellent judgment while collecting and dealing with confidential information and documents related to employee records. Upholds the utmost level of confidentiality with all matters Human Resources and student records.
  • Coordinates virtual event management via Zoom, Microsoft Teams and/or appropriate virtual platform.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education in Social science.
  • Experience working with large data analytics and demographic information.
  • Experience with social media and marketing platforms.
