Job Title: Warehouse Team Lead

Position Overview

Assists the Warehouse Supervisor in supporting the requirements of the internal and external customers by the coordination of Shipping and Receiving activities that include schedules, workloads, training, issuance and shipping of product and material, expediting, order follow-up, etc. This is a full-time position, M-F, 7:30 - 4:30 pm.


  • Ensures warehouse associates are properly trained and helps monitor staff in standard operating procedures (SOP's) and safe work practices;
  • Performs expediting duties of inbound and outbound orders to achieve departmental goals;
  • Communicates to internal and external customers on delivery status;
  • Supervises the transactional activities to achieve hourly performance goals;
  • Provides guidance, support, and direction to other departmental employees;
  • Coordinates the loading and unloading of trucks;
  • Interprets and enforces safety regulations (leads by example);
  • Supports and promotes process improvements of the warehouse operations;
  • Ensures proper documentation of all approved "Inbound" and "Outbound" of materials;
  • Handles customer and carrier issues as needed;
  • Monitors equipment or processes and communicates problems to Supervisor;
  • Encourages and monitors warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping initiatives on a daily basis;
  • Assists internal customers to identify requested information;
  • Performs cycle counting and inventory discrepancy resolutions;
  • Performs the job duties of the shipping and receiving associates as needed;
  • Fulfills back-up duties in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess strong mathematical skills,
  • Able to measure and read/interpret blueprints when needed
  • Able to use standard hand and power tools
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Ability to become forklift certified (we can train)
