Position Description

Kearfott Corporation is looking for a Senior Accountant & Analyst to join our team in Black Mountain, NC. As the Senior Accountant & Analyst, you will assist in monthly financial close process, be responsible for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Build financial models, visualize, analyze and review variances and trends. You will proactively drive process improvement, efficiencies and cost control. Function as a liaison between accounting and all other departments. Participate in cross-functional projects.

Essential Functions

  • Creating Financial Statements and performing margin analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and support preparation of forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare estimated pricing and cash flow analysis spreadsheets for new business proposals.
  • Ensure appropriate and accurate revenue recognition through reviewing contracts with customers and preparing monthly revenue trend and variance analysis reports.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting, and other projects as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent business degree
  • Minimum five years of related experience (preferably in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Technology or another relevant industry).
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and publishing financial statements.
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills
  • Experience in general ledger accounting and month-end close
  • Strong financial modelling skills and understanding of accounting statements
  • Self-driven, Collaborative, and Curious
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience using analytic skills to research and resolve accounting matters.
  • Experience with Project Estimate to Complete (EAC).
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, IFS, and Power BI
  • Experience communicating with varying levels of operational partners.

This position is located at our Black Mountain NC facility. Relocation assistance is not available.
