Position Scope/Summary

The Director provides leadership amp; administrative direction for the Domestic Destination Medicine Program as well as the creation and execution of vision, strategy, and operating plans to enhance the OSUWMCs position and competitive advantage in the national market. The Director implements strategies to enhance national projects and programs for OSUWMC through the cultivation of external opportunities and to build services and programs. The Director collaborates with many multidisciplinary stakeholders to align activities related to outreach, marketing, and communication to develop and implement the appropriate communication strategies for national growth.

The Director is responsible for business development activities including new business development and ongoing management, new patient conversions in domestic market, Pamp;L oversight, and quarterly reporting to the Senior Director amp; governance structure regarding financial health and future strategy. The role provides leadership and direction in developing and translating financial budget, benchmarking and productivity objectives into action and achievement.

The role also is responsible for collaborating in care navigation and team management, providing program oversight and leadership to the team including care coordinators and other roles within the department.

The Director represents the James amp; OSUWMC at and national levels as the liaison between the James and various organizations, agencies, and professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications For Hire

  • Graduate degree in health care administration or business from an accredited school required; professional certification preferred.
  • Record of demonstrated applicable leadership experience and skills and a minimum of 10 to 12 years in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in leading the growth of a healthcare industry program preferred.
  • Ability to work in a broad multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural and flexible work environment.
  • Experience in business development and consulting in an academic medical center required.
  • May require travel domestically
