Position: Personal Care Professional (for adults with TBI) - Overnight care Location: New Berlin, WI Flexible scheduling, competitive wages, team-oriented workplace. Job Description: Our goal is to foster the independence of a young man with a TBI who lives in his own apartment. This young man is very intelligent, social, and active. We are looking for professional life assistants who are outgoing, dedicated and driven to make a positive impact in his sustainable independence. Ideally, the professionals we seek have a passion for working with people with disabilities or are pursuing a career in the therapy field. This position is for overnight care. Skills: Has the ability to work overnight attending needs of the client from 8:00pm to 8:00am (start and end time are flexible). 1-3 shifts per week Has reliable transportation to and from work site Has patience and is willing to accept feedback (training provided) Has the ability to assist client with transferring in and out of wheelchair and bed Has the ability to make at least a 6-month commitment to his recovery Has some flexibility to step in for others on the team when someone needs time off Has a working knowledge of Google calendar, Google drive, and smartphone technology Has some experience working with and understanding people with TBI's Has a working knowledge of "Range of Motion" and can follow a plan of physical therapy. Has ability to check and respond to work related emails and texts on a daily basis Has access to a cell phone for communicating during any shift scheduled Requirements: Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferably TBI): 1 year High school graduate CNA Certificate or greater is beneficial Non-smoker
