Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As a Software Engineer specializing as a Data Scientist with an RFIC background, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data-driven insights to enhance the design and optimization of RFICs. We are seeking a skilled and experienced RFIC (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit) Designer with a particular focus on power amplifier design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze complex data sets, and develop advanced algorithms and models that drive the next generation of RFIC technologies. If you are passionate about data science, RF engineering, software development and cutting-edge technologies, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-performance RFICs with a specialization in power amplifier circuits, including linear and nonlinear designs, gain control, and efficiency optimization.
  • Utilize industry tools to simulate, model, and verify RF circuit designs and layouts.
  • Perform design and analysis of active and passive components, ensuring robust performance across frequency ranges.
  • Develop and refine custom RF components, including but not limited to amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, filters, and matching networks.
  • Conduct thermal, electrical, and mechanical analysis of RFICs to ensure reliable performance under varying conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with the product development team to integrate RFICs into larger systems and ensure compatibility with overall system design goals.
  • Optimize designs for low power consumption, high linearity, and minimal distortion while meeting strict performance specifications.
  • Support the transition from design to fabrication, assisting with layout generation, DFM (Design for Manufacturability), and tape-out activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex RF design issues during simulation, prototyping, and testing phases.
  • Stay current with emerging RFIC design methodologies and technologies, incorporating them into your work as appropriate.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Analyze and interpret datasets to extract meaningful insights for RFIC design and optimization.
  • Collaborate with RF engineers and software development teams to integrate data science techniques into the RFIC design process.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure efficient data handling and processing.
  • Utilize machine learning and statistical methods to predict and improve RFIC performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative software solutions that enhance RFIC design automation utilizing AI/ML technology.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in RFIC design related roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of RF circuit design principles, including linear/nonlinear RF components, impedance matching, and noise figure optimization.
  • Solid understanding of RF simulation techniques, layout optimization, and parasitic effects.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Software Development.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Data Analytics and Science.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++ or Rust.
  • Comprehensive technical expertise in data pipelines for machine learning and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and build automation tools.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry best practices.

Join us at Keysight EDA and be a part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of electronic design automation. Your contributions will make a significant impact on the development of cutting-edge RFIC technologies.
