Job Summary Trimble's construction group develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines, using technologies such as GPS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics. The products are utilized in a range of construction and mining applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance. The System Engineer is responsible for the specification, design, and documentation of future machine autonomy systems. The system engineer works directly with marketing, multi-discipline engineering teams, and machine OEMs to develop innovative, high quality products. The position requires practical application of electrical, software, and mechanical engineering skills. The system engineer exercises excellent interpersonal skills to work within ambiguous situations, helping transform requirements into product strategy and technical direction. Key Responsibilities:
