The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment Management Systems and Slate, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management Systems and Slate will collaborate with the Associate Director and the Senior Associate Director. This collaboration also extends to the Operations, Recruitment, Engagement, and Financial Aid teams, focusing on projects related to each respective functional area. The Assistant Director will provide day-to-day CRM support, serve as an administrator for various enrollment management systems, and maintain these systems to ensure success across the aforementioned teams.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as a user and administrator for various systems including Technolutions Slate, Liaison Outcomes, Columbia's Student Information System (SIS), Hive, and others as assigned. Provide support for the daily operations of Slate, working alongside the Associate Director and Senior Associate Director. Responsibilities include investigating and configuring Slate forms, communications, events, interviews, portals, workflows, data imports, automations, queries, and reports.
  • Fulfill day-to-day Slate troubleshooting requests from the Operations, Recruitment, Engagement, and Financial Aid teams. Build and update queries and reports for enrollment data analysis as requested, collaborating closely with the Associate Director and Senior Associate Director.
  • Assist with annual updates and cycle preparation for the Slate application across all degree programs. Help configure application data for the annual Consortium cycle.
  • Seek opportunities to optimize Slate usage for the Admissions and Financial Aid offices. Proactively ensure data integrity across all systems through diligent monitoring of reports and processes.


Work with both internal and external stakeholders, including the Graduate Management Admissions Council, Consortium, and ETS, to review and manage data, as well as application imports and exports.

Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. 2-4 years related experience required.
  • One to two years of experience in admissions, financial aid, student success/retention, higher education administration, business analysis, project management, or related field, or an equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Experience in development, management, and maintenance of enrollment Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or relational databases, such as Technolutions Slate CRM.
  • Technical ability and desire to learn, navigate, improve upon, and build systems.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency, including knowledge of office productivity software, preferably Windows.
  • Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to support and work effectively with non-technical users.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
  • Strong skills in diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple responsibilities.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Technical experience working with Technolutions Slate CRM and Liaison Outcomes.
  • Experience with Columbia's SIS.
  • Working knowledge of the following language: SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
